Meet the farm & its farmer
Scrapberry Farm is a tiny farm on the stolen lands of Indigenous peoples in the place we now call Portland, Oregon. I tend land, plants, and spirit on unceded Chinook territory at the Black and Brown Herb Exchange’s Black Liberation Garden.
I’m a queer, Black, anti-racist dirty femme — an alchemist, cottage witch, farmer, and herbal happiness maker. I grow and make magic with my hands and with my heart: furniture, quilts, songs, poems, food, and drink. I’m a mad scientist shimmering with sparkles and honey, working at the intersection of ancestors and intuition.
When I’m not on the farm, I serve Black Food Sovereignty Coalition as Executive Director. I am the founder of Come Thru Market, Black and Brown Herb Exchange, and a few other projects that have since sunset. It’s a busy life!
Recently I’ve made some changes to my collaborative network. You can always keep tabs on who I am currently working with, learn more about me, and see links to my other projects at shinyshiny.org.

Meet the farm & its farmer
Scrapberry Farm is a tiny farm on the stolen lands of Indigenous peoples in the place we now call Portland, Oregon. I farm on unceded Chinook territory at the Black and Brown Herb Exchange.
When I’m not on the farm, I’m trundling through markets with my iconic little red wagon. I serve Black Food Sovereignty Coalition as the current board Chair. I manage Come Thru Market, Portland’s Black and Indigenous farmers market. It’s a busy life!
I do a lot of other things, too, including training programs, land access and ancestral reclamation work, and more. Learn more about me and see links to my other projects at shinyshiny.org.
